Make a first impression that lasts

If there’s one thing that has an even stronger effect than what you say, it’s what you do. We should be conscious of our actions at all times.  When meeting a person for the first time, your presence should be felt. Actions as simple as carrying yourself in a professional manner at all times and giving others respect leave a profound and lasting impact on individuals.

Another thing to always be aware of is your appearance. Physical appearance is definitely important but emotional appearance is equally as important.  As a young child, one of the most valuable pieces of advice I ever received from my mother was related to the smile. She said:

“Never let anyone stop you from smiling…it’s one of the most powerful possessions you have.”

Well, I’ve been smiling ever since!
