Apple Cider Vinegar–The perfect pick-me-up for any time of day!
I have long been a proponent of the many benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar which include but are not limited to:
My main point of focus for now; however, is ENERGY.
One of the leading reasons energy drinks have become so popular over the past few years is because they are quick, easy, and normally pretty tasty. But then comes the crash. That initial high is also usually quick and easy, but then you are left to deal with the aftermath of having a caffeine crash.
Well it’s easy to say just grab a bottle of apple cider vinegar and chug away, but I’ve tried that and, trust me, it’s not a good idea! So after my unsuccessful chugging experience, I started to think of ways to enjoy the energizing benefits of this miracle drink without the bitter-beerface results that came from drinking it straight.
Well for anyone who’s ever seen the movie, American Pie, the answer is simple: Warm Apple Pie. With that in mind I created my energy drink of the same name and the recipe goes as follows:
You can experiment with the proportions to match your taste preferences, and even add a little bit of honey to sweeten the pie. Once you’ve found your ideal combination, you can then enjoy a daily cup of energy that is not only detoxifying, but also delicious!

What I love about ACV is not only the energy boost (is it quercetin perhaps? I know apples are rich in quercetin) but the fact that you don’t need to go to a health food store to find it. There are inexpensive brands at Walmart that are still “organic, with mother”, which is the best kind. I have a tolerance for many different tastes, from sour to tart to pungent, so can drink it straight. (It’s a good idea to rinse with water afterward, though, as the acetic acid is hard on tooth enamel.)
Yes, you’re right. It’s one of the most affordable, healthy options we have available!
The apple pie- very autumnal as well. Nothing beats apple crumble though!
