Be faithful to thyself.
I used to have a thing for taking pictures of shirts with bad English. In Japan we called it “Engrish” and in Korea it was “Konglish.” One day, while searching for an example of this, I came across a shirt that read, “Be faithful to thyself,” and I thought to myself…
“Yeah, I can dig that expression.”
It was the opposite of what I was looking for, but exactly what I needed–I ended up purchasing that shirt and wore it until I could wear it no more.
Too often in life we get so caught up in working for others or working to make someone else’s dream a reality that we neglect self. Days pass by. Those days turn to weeks; weeks to months; and months to years until one day you look back on life…and realize you’ve forgot to live. Make each day count, create memories that last and, while on this journey we call life, Be faithful to thyself.
