“Baby steps get on the bus…baby steps down the aisle..baby steps…”
Famous words from Bill Murray’s character in the film What About Bob?, and even though it was technically a comedy, when you consider the expression “baby steps,” that could be exactly what some people need in their lives. Look at New Year’s resolutions–a prime example is, and you know where I’m going with this, the gym. It never fails, every year the gym is packed for the first few weeks after new year, but once March rolls around only the faithful few regulars remain.
“Why do we fail…Why do we try to reach the summit with just one step?”
Monthly goal-setting, and on an even smaller scale, daily goal-setting are two ways to be both productive and create more attainable targets. Every manuscript I’ve ever read by anyone considered even remotely successful shares one common denominator–they take advantage of the power hour.
Waking up an hour early and bettering themselves; whether it’s by reading, writing, studying, planning their daily schedule or simply quietly meditating. These acts bring a calm and focus that power them through each day which, in turn, create the ripple effect of powering through each goal. As you’re reading now, if getting up an hour earlier seems like an impossible task at this point in your life, start small. Wake up just ten minutes early and make a list of goals for the day. No matter what, always remember, attaining small goals eventually leads to the same results with larger ones.

Well said and beautifully described with ” baby steps”. My grandson just said to me that there is no elevator to success you have to use the steps. How true…….
Beautiful…its all about the beginnings every thing gets easier with time.
